Age-Friendly Volunteer Driver Program

Provides free transportation for seniors (age 60 and over) in the Bethel area (Bethel, Gilead, Greenwood, Newry and Woodstock) for medical needs.  Rides are subject to driver availability.  Ride requests must be made three business days in advance.  Volunteer drivers are certified by Community Concepts.

Free public transportation available to the public during the winter season (SEASONAL BASIS) within the Village of Bethel at designated stops, including the Bethel Airport, and between Bethel and Sunday River.  Local flex-route service (pick-up and drop-off within 3/4 mile of the bus route on public roads, if it is safe for the bus) is available by calling 207-330-3304, 24 hours in advance.   Follow the Mountain Explorer on Twitter for delays or service changes due to weather, special events, and other circumstances.

Sunday River Stagecoach Shuttle

Provides shuttle transportation throughout Bethel, Sunday River and Sugarloaf resorts and the  Oxford Hills area by reservation only.  Also between the Bethel area and Portland, including the Portland Jetport.

WMTS volunteer drivers furnish transportation which can’t be provided by bus, for DHHS, Child Development Services (CDS), United WayCommunity Rides, SeniorsPlus Elder Rides and others. Volunteer rides may be arranged in all areas of Androscoggin, Franklin and OxfordCounties, any day, or time, depending on driver availability and funding.  One may be eligible for transportation assistance.
